Job summary

The IFRC is seeking a Senior Programme Officer, Health to strengthen equitable access to immunization services in Pakistan, working with PRCS and EPI partners. You will design, implement, monitor, and scale immunization interventions, engage communities, and support data-driven decision making in crisis-affected districts.

You will collaborate with UNICEF, WHO, Gavi and government health departments to align with national immunization strategies and international standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in public health programmes.
• Minimum of 3 years direct experience in immunization, EPI, vaccine‑preventable diseases, or community health programmes; liaising with government, donors and partners.
• Experience with government immunization programmes, UNICEF, WHO, Gavi, or civil society partners.
• Excellent communication skills and high proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Ability to travel across the country and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Health programme component implementation, planning and coordination with PRCS and NS health staff.
• Prepare budgets and proposals focusing on primary and community health services.
• Monitor and evaluate health components; identify gaps and address capacity needs.
• Lead immunization expansion and outreach activities with EPI partners.
• Support community engagement, social mobilisation and behaviour change communication.
• Coordinate with donors, UN agencies and government actors for programme delivery.
