Senior Full Stack Engineer (Python + Next JS)

Our client, backed by leading global investors, develops solar-powered AI camera systems that automate traffic law enforcement to reduce reckless driving and create safer streets worldwide.

About the Role

We're seeking a Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer (Ticketing Ops) to lead the design, development, and optimization of robust backend systems powering our AI‑enabled traffic enforcement cameras. You'll architect scalable, high‑performance server‑side solutions to handle real‑time video processing, data storage, and seamless integration with embedded systems operating in demanding outdoor environments under stringent power and performance constraints. As a senior engineer, you'll drive the technical strategy for backend infrastructure, mentor team members, and collaborate closely with hardware, AI, and frontend teams to ensure precise violation detection, reliable data transmission, and efficient database management.

What You'll Do

• Architect and implement high-performance backend services for real-time video processing, notifications, APIs, and large-scale data management.
• Lead design of fault-tolerant, scalable microservices that integrate seamlessly with the platform ecosystem under high load.
• Design and optimize database schemas, indexing, caching, and event-driven systems for performance and cost efficiency.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with frontend, AI, and platform teams to deliver end-to-end solutions aligned with business goals.
• Mentor junior engineers, lead code reviews, and enforce best practices in CI/CD, observability, and documentation.
• Remain hands‑on with active coding, debugging, and production troubleshooting in an individual contributor capacity.
• Make sound, rational technical decisions with clear logical reasoning to guide system architecture and trade-offs.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of software development experience with expertise in Python and NextJS.
• Proven track record of architecting and delivering scalable, production-grade microservices in high‑traffic environments.
• Deep expertise in API design, database optimization (relational/NoSQL), caching, and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Extensive experience with testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Proficiency in designing high-performance data pipelines for real-time or near-real-time applications (e.g., Apache Spark).
• Demonstrated ability to make sound technical decisions with logical reasoning and lead initiatives while staying hands‑on.
• Exceptional problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills; ideally shipped end-to-end products.

Bonus Points

1. Experience with video processing or large-scale data in constrained environments.
2. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and IaC tools (Terraform, Kubernetes).
