Since 2012, Careem has enabled earnings for over 2.5 million Captains, simplified the lives of more than 70 million customers, and built a platform where the region’s best talent and entrepreneurs thrive. We operate in 70+ cities across 10 countries, from Morocco to Pakistan.

We’re now entering our next chapter — one powered by AI. We’re looking for AI talent: curious problem-solvers who know how to apply AI to build tools, automate workflows, and create real impact. Whether it’s streamlining operations, enhancing customer experience, or reimagining internal systems — we want people who can make Careem work smarter and move faster.
About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Analyst – FP&A to join the Strategic Finance team at Careem Pay.
This role combines financial acumen, analytical rigor, and technical skills (especially SQL) to help drive strategic decisions and business performance across Careem’s fintech ecosystem.

What You'll Do
  • Drive strategic finance initiatives by developing financial models, forecasts, and performance analyses that inform leadership decisions.
  • Partner with product, growth, and operations teams to identify business drivers, assess financial performance, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data for daily operations and management reporting.
  • Prepare monthly performance reviews, management presentations, and support annual and long-term planning cycles.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across financial and operational systems.
  • Build a deep understanding of P'L drivers, financial metrics, and business KPIs.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or business partnering, ideally within fintech, payments, or digital services.
  • Strong SQL proficiency— able to write, optimize, and debug queries independently.
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets and financial modeling skills; experience with BI tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Excellent business judgment, analytical mindset, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in or with fintech or payments products.
  • Familiarity with data-driven financial reporting, automation tools, or financial data pipelines.
  • A passion for merging finance and data to tell clear, actionable stories.
What we'll provide you

We offer colleagues the opportunity to drive impact in the region while they learn and grow. As a full-time Careem colleague, you will be able to:

  • At Careem Pay, you’ll be part of one of the region’s most exciting fintech journeys — solving meaningful problems, working alongside brilliant people, and helping shape the future of digital payments across MENA.
  • Work and learn from great minds by joining a community of inspiring colleagues.
  • Put your passion to work in a purposeful organisation dedicated to creating impact in a region with a lot of untapped potential.
  • Explore new opportunities to learn and grow every day.
  • Work 4 days a week in office & 1 day from home, and remotely from any country in the world for 30 days a year with unlimited vacation days per year. (If you are in an individual contributor role in tech, you will have 2 office days a week and 3 to work from home.)
  • Access to healthcare benefits and fitness reimbursements for health activities including gym, health club, and training classes.
