Job summary

TalentHue invites a Senior DevOps Engineer (DataOps) to own platform reliability, Kubernetes orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines for data workloads. You will support data pipelines across the stack and collaborate with data engineers and ML teams.

You will implement observability, manage IaC, and lead incident response to keep services compliant with SLAs. The role is onsite in Lahore, Pakistan, with full-time engagement and opportunities to optimize Docker builds and drive GitLab CI/CD adoption.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in DevOps/DataOps/Platform Engineering with Kubernetes
• Hands-on Docker and container orchestration in production
• GitLab CI/CD pipelines experience (GitOps a plus)
• Airflow at infrastructure level, environment mgmt, scaling, SLA monitoring

Responsibilities

• Owns platform reliability and infrastructure operations across the data stack
• Operate and harden Kubernetes hosting data pipelines
• Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for data jobs
• Monitor Airflow DAG execution and triage SLA breaches
• Implement observability, logging, monitoring, and alerting across the platform

Requirements

• Operate and harden the Kubernetes environment hosting data pipeline workloads.
• Manage Docker container builds, registries, and deployment patterns for data engineering and ML teams.
• Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, build, and deployment of data jobs.
• Monitor Airflow DAG execution across the platform, ensuring pipeline SLAs are met and breaches are triaged quickly.
• Implement observability, logging, monitoring, and alerting, across the containerized data platform.
• Manage infrastructure-as-code for provisioning and scaling cluster resources.
• Partner with Data Engineers and MLOps to standardize deployment patterns across data and ML workloads.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis for platform reliability issues.

Specifications

• 6+ years in DevOps/DataOps/Platform Engineering, with deep, demonstrable Kubernetes experience
• Strong hands-on Docker and container orchestration experience in production environments.
• Proven track record building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines (GitOps experience a strong plus).
• Experience operating Apache Airflow at the infrastructure level , environment management, scaling, and SLA monitoring (distinct from DAG authoring).
• Solid scripting ability (Python, Bash, or Go) for automation and tooling.
• Linux systems fundamentals and comfort working across cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
