Datamatics Technologies in Stockholm is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Data Pipeline Architect for a 6-month hybrid assignment. You will lead architecture and migration of data pipelines, focusing on modernization, security, retention, and deletion compliance.

English is the working language and travel is required. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of experience, hands-on expertise with Airflow, Spark, dbt, BigQuery and Python, and a track record of leading complete migrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Deep hands-on experience with Airflow, Spark, dbt, BigQuery and Python.
• Led at least one complete data pipeline migration from start to finish.
• Refactored production data pipelines while ensuring outputs remain unchanged.
• Established engineering processes for testing, code reviews, and incident management.
• Mentoring experience with measurable outcomes.
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).

Responsabilités

• Design and drive the architecture for migrating pipelines incrementally while preserving outputs.
• Lead technical migration projects and ensure delivery.
• Mentor a Data Engineer and ensure long-term ownership and reliability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enforce encryption, data retention, and deletion policies.
