Job summary

Systems Limited is seeking a seasoned Java Developer to design, build, test and maintain Java-based applications. You will work across databases, APIs, and third-party integrations, delivering scalable, reliable software and contributing to architecture decisions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced SCRUM environment, drive code quality, implement CI/CD, and stay current with industry trends to apply modern practices to enterprise solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Amazon AWS/GCP services.
• Experience with Backend Databases (Spanner, Postgres or NoSQL).
• Experience with RESTful architecture and microservices.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker; agile development practices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute towards moving the team forward in leading edge processes like continuous integration, continuous delivery, cloud migration and test driven development
• Work with defect tracking, source code control and software release systems to ensure high-quality software releases over time
• Assist in peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Contribute to the design and development process as part of a SCRUM team.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in Java and Java Spring boot framework.
• Experience with Amazon AWS/GCP services is Must.
• Experience with Backend Database (preferably Spanner) or NoSQL or Postgres databases
• Experience with RESTful architecture and micro services. JSON and XML is required
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) and modern development practices and development lifecycle using Scrum, Kanban, Lean or other agile methodologies
• Experience working with diverse, collaborative, cross-functional teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to persuade, inspire and motivate others. This includes communicating technical information to nontechnical audiences
• Experience with Retail Background is a plus
