Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Business Development Executive to lead client acquisition and account expansion initiatives within our recruitment and consulting division. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record in B2B sales, client relationship management, and consultative solution selling within the technology or recruitment sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Growth & Client Acquisition
    • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across the UK, EMEA, and global regions.
    • Develop and execute market entry and expansion strategies in collaboration with leadership.
    • Conduct market research to identify potential sectors, decision-makers, and emerging trends.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Build and sustain long‑term client relationships through consultative engagement and solution‑driven discussions.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding business challenges and recommending strategic staffing or consulting solutions.
    • Ensure a high level of client satisfaction through proactive follow‑up and service excellence.
  • Sales Operations & Pipeline Management
    • Own the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure and account handover.
    • Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and reporting using CRM platforms.
    • Collaborate closely with delivery, recruitment, and marketing teams to optimize proposal submissions and campaign outcomes.
  • Revenue Growth & Performance
    • Achieve and exceed quarterly revenue and performance targets.
    • Upsell and cross‑sell additional Fortray services within existing client portfolios.
    • Monitor KPIs and leverage data insights to enhance sales productivity and decision‑making.
  • Collaboration & Leadership
    • Mentor junior team members and contribute to building a performance‑driven culture.
    • Represent Fortray at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums to promote brand visibility.
    • Provide strategic feedback to management on market developments and competitive positioning.
Requirements
  • 4–5 years of proven experience in business development, recruitment sales, or consulting services.
  • Strong understanding of IT staffing, digital transformation, or professional services sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage enterprise‑level accounts and close high‑value deals.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self‑starter with strong commercial acumen and a consultative approach.
  • Experience engaging with international clients and decision‑makers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred.
