Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Pune IOC-B is seeking a data engineering professional to design, develop, and operate scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions.

You will ingest and transform data from a variety of sources, ensuring quality and timely data delivery to analysts and stakeholders. The role requires 5–8 years in data engineering, strong Python/SQL skills, and hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms, ETL/ELT, and data governance.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of data engineering experience required.
• Familiarity with large data sets, data governance and metadata management.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and Spark (PySpark preferred).
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and ETL/ELT tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable data pipelines for ingesting and transforming data from diverse sources.
• Implement data governance, quality controls and metadata management practices.
• Develop and optimize data models, storage strategies and data access patterns.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, IT and data science teams to deliver analytics solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps/CI-CD practices across the team.
