Job summary

leading-edge is seeking an experienced SAP BTP Fiori Developer to design, build, and maintain cloud-native UI5 applications on SAP BTP. You will work in an agile squad delivering intuitive UI5 apps (Fiori Elements & Freestyle) that connect to backend services (CAP, S/4HANA, OData, REST, ABAP) and ensure high performance, security, and scalability.

Key responsibilities include developing Fiori apps, cloud integration with S/4HANA/Ariba, DevOps and CI/CD, testing, and collaborating with product

Qualifications

• B.Tech/M.Tech/BCA/MCA or equivalent in CS or related field.
• 3-5+ years SAP UI5/Fiori development experience.
• Hands-on with SAP BTP Cloud Foundry, SAP Cloud SDK, CAP (Node.js / Java).
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and OData v2/v4.
• Experience with ABAP OData, S/4HANA, and SAP integrations.
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
• Familiar with SAP Web IDE/VS Code and SAP Business Application Studio.
• Understanding security: OAuth, JWT, XSUAA.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Our client islooking for an experienced SAP BTP Fiori Developer to design, build, and maintain cloud native Fiori applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). You will work in an agile squad, delivering intuitive UI5 apps (Fiori Elements & Freestyle) that connect to backend services (CAP, S/4HANA, OData, REST, ABAP) and ensure high performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

Develop & Enhance Fiori Apps

• Build responsive Fiori UIs using SAPUI5 / OpenUI5, Fiori Elements, Freestyle UI5.
• Implement OData/REST services via CAP (Node.js/Java) or ABAP backend.
• Use SAP Fiori Launchpad (Cloud & On Premise) for tile configuration.

Cloud Integration

• Connect UI to SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, BTP Services (Destination, XSUAA, IAS, Destinations, Cloud Connector).
• Handle authentication (OAuth2, SAML, X.509), rolebased access (IAS/Cloud Identity).

DevOps & CI/CD

• Version control with Git (GitHub/GitLab/ADO).
• Pipeline automation (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, SAP Cloud Transport Management).
• Deploy to BTP CF (Cloud Foundry) / Kyma / Neo.

Quality & Performance

• Write unit/UI tests (QUnit, OPA, Jest).
• Optimize bundle size, lazy loading, caching, and ensure 2second page load.
• Debug issues using Chrome Dev Tools, SAP WebIDE/ VS Code.

Collaboration

• Work with Product Owners, UX designers, and backend (ABAP/CAP) teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Daily, Sprint Planning, Review, Retro).

Continuous Learning

• Keep up with SAP BTP services (Kyma, Event Mesh, SAP Cloud SDK), Fiori 3.0 design, and emerging UI5 features.

Required Skills

• B.Tech / M.Tech / BCA / MCA or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• 3- 5+ years of SAP UI5/Fiori development (Fiori Elements, Freestyle).
• Hands on with SAP BTP Cloud Foundry, SAP Cloud SDK, CAP (Node.js / Java).
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript, ES6+, UI5 XML views, OData v2/v4, JSON Model.
• Experience with ABAP OData (RFC/BAPI), S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba integration.
• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with SAP Web IDE / VS Code, SAP Business Application Studio.
• Understanding of security concepts (OAuth, JWT, XSUAA, SSL).
• Agile/Scrum mindset, good communication.
• SAP Fiori Design Guidelines, SAP Fiori 3.0/4.0.
• SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), SAP Graph, SAP Event Mesh.
• Containerization (Docker) & Kyma/Kubernetes on BTP.
• Unit/UI test frameworks (Jest, Karma, OPA).
