Job summary

MashreqBank psc. is seeking an Assistant Compliance Manager to interpret domestic and international sanctions, review escalated cases, and support the sanctions risk program.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication across business units. You will work with the Sanctions Unit to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory guidance, and contribute to monthly reports and continuous improvement efforts within a banking compliance

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of banking experience including 2 years of compliance experience.
• Knowledge of Sanctions regulations and industry guidances.
• Professional qualification (ACAMS/CGSS) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interpret domestic and international sanctions and maintain knowledge of related requirements.
• Review cases escalated from sanctions alert reviews and assess for policy compliance.
• Apply analytical techniques to complex information and provide supported recommendations.
• Document findings and prepare reports for management.
• Maintain and develop sanctions policies and procedures; support monthly/adhoc reporting.
