Job summary

SME Careers is seeking a C++ Engineer to work fully remotely on an hourly contractor basis. You will review AI-generated C++ code, systems designs, and explanations, and generate reference implementations and step-by-step reasoning for complex problems.

Responsibilities include assessing solutions for accuracy, safety, and performance; identifying issues in memory and concurrency; fact-checking; and writing high-quality explanations and model solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field.
4+ years of professional C++ software development experience.
Expert-level proficiency in modern C++ (C++11 and later).
Strong systems programming background in concurrency, OS, memory management.
Experience with C++ build systems, compilers, linkers, debuggers, and profiling tools.
Minimum C1 English proficiency with clear technical explanations.
Experience conducting detailed C++ code reviews and enforcing standards.
Familiarity with CI/CD and automated testing in C++ projects.
Nice to have AI data training or evaluating AI content experience.
Detail-oriented and methodical in evaluating complex C++ code
