Job summary

Z Global is seeking an Accounting Lead to design and optimize accounting systems for US startup and SMB clients. You will manage client accounts, oversee a team of professionals, and ensure high-quality outcomes while aligning with client needs.

The role is remote with a Pakistan preference, requiring strong project management, excellent communication, and deep knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years in bookkeeping/accounting; 1–2 years in management.
• Experience with US startups or SMBs preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
• CFA Level 1 or ACCA certification preferred.
• Big 4 experience a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine key accounting processes and procedures to support client needs.
• Oversee and manage accounting operations for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team managers to maintain the highest standard of work across the team.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their accounting needs and concerns.
• Supervise and mentor team members to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Lead project management initiatives related to accounting tasks and deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial requirements.
