Access to expert laboratory competency, the latest technology and confidence in laboratory data has never been more critical.
The MGS Regional Laboratory Manager is responsible for the delivery of chemistry and microbiology operational testing capability, laboratory governance and consultancy services for all segments of Mars Incorporated operating in their region. The main customers of the regional lab are Q&FS (manufacturing sites), Commercial and R&D functions.
Leading the Regional Laboratory requires a good understanding of laboratory sciences, technologies, processes and methods in the areas of chemistry testing combined with a good understanding of what it takes to lead and operate a laboratory service.
The role achieves results primarily through people and requires strong people leadership skills combined with a high degree of influence in driving global changes to our ways of working in the laboratory area.
The role requires strong communication skills, high level of leadership and managing vision and purpose, and the ability to build collaborative relationships with all segments/BUs and functions.
The job holder will frequently interact with regional senior leaders as key stakeholders to ensure an effective service for their region.
The role requires strong collaboration skills to partner with MGS Laboratories Center of Expertise (COE) and with the other Regional and Satellite Laboratories of the community.
Up to 30% global travel including a number of multi-week trips per year with occasional weekends away from home.
