Job description
Overview

To ensure product quality at all stages including raw material receiving, in-process manufacturing, and final inspection. The role is responsible for upholding Interwood’s quality standards and customer specifications through effective inspection, reporting, and coordination with production and QA teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections on the shop floor to verify product quality against approved drawings, material specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Review engineering and production drawings to identify critical dimensions and tolerances and ensure inspections are aligned with those technical standards.
  • Identify and report non-conformities during inspections, and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive inspection reports, checklists, and quality control documents in line with company protocols and audit requirements.
  • Ensure accurate use of measuring instruments, verify calibration status before use, and promptly report any discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Coordinate with Deputy Manager QC, QC Inspectors, and production teams to ensure timely resolution of quality issues and actively participate in process improvement activities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial/Mechanical/Wood Technology or related discipline)
  • BBA /MBA /MS TQM /MS Quality /MS QMS
  • 1–2 years of experience in a quality control/inspection role, preferably in wood or furniture manufacturing
  • Understanding of basic QC principles and visual/dimensional inspection techniques
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with woodworking materials like MDF, solid wood, veneer, etc.
  • Experience with measurement tools (vernier caliper, measuring tape, gauges, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of CAPA, NCR, and inspection report documentation
