Job summary

A leading procurement firm is seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to handle the procurement of paint and chemical raw materials in Karachi. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in supply chain management, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems. The role includes supplier evaluation, purchase order preparation, and demand forecasting. Working days are Monday to Saturday, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4-6 years in procurement or supply chain management, specifically in paint, chemical, or manufacturing sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers of paint and chemical raw materials.
  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Analyse market trends, cost fluctuations, and supplier performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier contracts.
  • Collaborate with departments to forecast demand and plan procurement schedules.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with quality and safety standards.
  • Manage supplier payments, contracts, and vendor evaluations.
  • Generate procurement reports using Excel and ERP tools.

Our client is seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to handle the procurement of paint and chemical raw materials. The ideal candidate will ensure cost-effective purchasing, maintain supplier relationships, negotiate competitive prices, and coordinate with production and inventory teams for uninterrupted material availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers of paint and chemical raw materials.
  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Analyse market trends, cost fluctuations, and supplier performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier contracts.
  • Collaborate with the Store and Production departments to forecast demand and plan procurement schedules.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with company quality and safety standards.
  • Manage supplier payments, contracts, and vendor evaluations.
  • Generate procurement reports using Excel, ERP, and AI tools (like ChatGPT) for data analysis and decision-making.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Chemistry, or Commerce (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 4-6 years in procurement or supply chain management, specifically in paint, chemical, or manufacturing sectors.
