Translation Empire PK is looking for a Punjabi Interpreter and Translator in Rawalpindi/Islamabad. We are currently recruiting for Punjabi interpreters and translators based in Rawalpindi/Islamabad to work within various settings such as healthcare, legal, educational, immigration & refugee services, etc.

Established in 2001, Translation Empire PK provides professional interpreting and translation services to both the government, public and private sectors across organizations around the globe.

Position Overview

Interpreting involves listening to, understanding and memorizing content in the original ‘source’ language, then reproducing the speech into the ‘target’ language with 100% accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Interpret for people using legal, health and local government services.
• Check non-English speakers’ understanding after each sentence.
• Provide conference, consecutive and public service interpreting.
• Deal with highly confidential information.
• Liaise between the service user and service provider.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English or another language.
• BS/MS Degree in English Language, Literature, English Language Teaching (ELT) or TESOL.
• Any other interpreting related qualification.
• Must hold an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) certificate with an overall band score of 6.
• Must meet a minimum of 6 in each individual subtest (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking).
• Must be willing to sign and agree to a surety bond.
• Must be willing to sign and agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
