Job Summary
The Production Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules to meet customer demand while balancing manufacturing capacity, material availability, and operational efficiency. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams across Operations, Materials, Logistics, Customer Service, and Manufacturing to ensure uninterrupted production, improve schedule attainment, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
The incumbent utilizes planning systems, production data, and analytics to identify risks, improve processes, optimize inventory flow, and support business performance through effective production planning, KPI management, and Lean manufacturing practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet customer demand and business objectives.
- Coordinate with Operations, Materials Planning, Logistics, Customer Service, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production line execution.
- Monitor production schedules, material availability, capacity constraints, downtime, and inventory levels to minimize production disruptions.
- Support alignment of raw material, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods inventory strategies across the supply chain.
- Utilize Oracle, APS, SFS, PTS, and other planning systems to manage production schedules and planning activities.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret production and operational data to identify bottlenecks, risks, and process improvement opportunities.
- Develop reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI to support operational decision-making and KPI monitoring.
- Drive functional objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve production planning, schedule attainment, and operational efficiency.
- Lead or support Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to eliminate waste, improve productivity, and enhance manufacturing processes.
- Review, update, and standardize work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) annually in collaboration with process owners across manufacturing plants.
- Benchmark best practices and implement process improvements to enhance operational performance.
- Support master data management activities including Bills of Material (BOM), work centers, routing, and Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
- Coordinate implementation of engineering changes while minimizing inventory impact and maintaining production continuity.
- Participate in capacity planning, rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP), and master production scheduling activities.
- Support project implementation initiatives related to production planning, materials management, and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), quality, and company policies and procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, material flow, and operational excellence.

Experience
- 1-4 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing, supply chain, materials planning, or operations.
- Experience using Oracle ERP , APS , SFS , and PTS for production planning and scheduling is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint , with experience using Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to support production planning and manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of capacity planning, materials planning, PFEP, inventory management, and production scheduling processes.
- Experience applying Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies to improve operational efficiency is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze operational data, identify process improvement opportunities, and drive KPI improvements.
- Experience participating in process improvement, standardization, and project implementation initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
