Job summary

Interwood is seeking a CAD drafter to develop accurate 2D technical drawings and 3D CAD models from approved design concepts. You will ensure production readiness and alignment with manufacturing specifications, while coordinating with production teams to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications include a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related fields, with up to 1 year of CAD drafting experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Industrial/Product Design, mechanical engineering, architecture or DAE).
• Up to 1 year of CAD drafting/product design/manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D technical drawings and 3D CAD models from design requirements and approved concepts.
• Develop detailed drawings with dimensions/material specs/assembly information.
• Convert concepts into accurate, production-ready drawings.
• Assist in CAD/CAM data for CNC and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure drawings comply with specifications and manufacturing requirements.
• Revise drawings based on design changes and production feedback.
• Assist in preparing BOMs, cutting lists, machining details, and technical docs.
• Review drawings against samples and prototypes and implement improvements.
• Support development of new products, prototypes, and mock-ups.
• Maintain organized CAD files, drawings, and project docs.

Education

Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, DAE, or a related field
