Job summary

Volga Partners is seeking an experienced AI & Backend Engineer to design scalable backend systems, RAG pipelines, and LLM-powered applications for global clients. You will work with leadership and product teams on architecture, deployment, and production-grade AI solutions.

This hybrid role offers 3 days in office and 2 days remote, with a competitive PKR salary and strong exposure to GenAI technologies and intelligent automation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with scalable backend architectures.
• At least 3 years building AI or LLM-powered solutions in production.
• Experience building and supporting scalable backend applications.
• Experience deploying AI/LLM-powered solutions into production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings, or AI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience working with APIs, cloud environments, and modern development practices.
• Ability to work independently and own solutions from design to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services and microservices using Python and/or Node.js.
• Build and deploy production-ready AI solutions, including copilots, chatbots, and workflow automation systems.
• Develop and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Integrate and manage large language models (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source).
• Design secure, performant APIs and backend infrastructure.
• Process and structure enterprise data for AI workflows.
• Improve reliability, performance, latency, and cost efficiency of AI systems.
• Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to deliver quality solutions.
