This role is pivotal in ensuring the timely and cost‑effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for projects and operations across the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Utilities, and Manufacturing industries. What You’re Expected to Lead and Deliver
- Review material requisitions, technical specifications, engineering drawings, and scopes of work to determine procurement requirements.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for equipment, bulk materials, spare parts, and services aligned with project schedules and operational demands.
- Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs to approved vendors and coordinate technical and commercial bid evaluations.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, warranties, Incoterms, and other commercial conditions to achieve optimal value.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, finance, warehouse, and end‑user teams to ensure technical and commercial alignment.
- Create, administer, and monitor purchase orders and procurement contracts in accordance with company policies and approval procedures.
- Track supplier progress, expedite deliveries, and proactively resolve delays, non‑conformances, and supply chain challenges.
- Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, responsiveness, lead times, HSE compliance, and contractual obligations.
- Support logistics coordination, customs documentation, inspections, and material deliveries to project sites and warehouses.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor documentation, bid evaluations, procurement reports, and audit trails for compliance and traceability.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, ethical standards, industry regulations, and best procurement practices.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, process improvements, and supplier development initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- 3–7 years of procurement experience, preferably within Oil & Gas, EPC, industrial automation, maintenance, shutdowns, drilling, manufacturing, or large‑scale industrial projects.
- Proven experience in sourcing, contract administration, supplier management, bid evaluation, procurement planning, and expediting activities.
- Experience working with ERP and procurement management systems.
- Familiarity with international procurement practices, logistics coordination, and supply chain processes.
- Experience managing local and international suppliers is highly desirable.
