Job summary

Nextbridge Global in Lahore seeks a skilled Machinist / Fabricator to join our workshop team. The role involves operating lathe and milling machines, performing welding tasks, and carrying out mechanical fitting and assembly from technical drawings to produce high-quality components.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of hands-on machining and fabrication experience, a diploma or certificate in mechanical trades, and the ability to read drawings and use calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in mechanical trades.
• 2–5 years of machining, welding and fitting experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use measurement tools.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up lathe and milling machines for precision machining tasks.
• Perform welding (arc/MIG/TIG as applicable) for fabrication and repair work.
• Carry out mechanical fitting and assembly, including drilling, grinding, and alignment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Inspect and measure parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools.
• Maintain machines, tools, and workshop equipment in proper working condition.
• Ensure jobs are completed to required specifications and within deadlines.
• Troubleshoot machining and fitting issues and suggest improvements.
• Comply with workshop safety standards and safe operation of machinery.
