Job summary

Abacus is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize scalable infrastructure. The role covers container orchestration, cloud security, and API integration to support client solutions.

You will work with a team to manage Linux-based environments, implement IaC, and ensure reliable deployments with proper documentation and monitoring practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or related field.
• 1–3 years of cloud and on-prem infrastructure experience.
• Strong Linux administration and networking knowledge.
• Familiarity with development lifecycle, APIs, and scripting.

Experience & Skills:

• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Understanding of application development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of networking principles.
• Familiarity with software development and design concepts.
• Experience with core programming languages (Java, C++, Python, JavaScript), Bash scripting, and YAML.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Basic knowledge of API proxies in Apigee.
• Proficiency in coding/scripting languages (Java, JavaScript, Bash).
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with API development.
• Kubernetes deployment experience.
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Knowledge of Apigee Edge or Apigee X.
