There are many clinically relevant software systems used currently in the hospital setting. AKU is going through a major deployment of an integrated electronic health system across its various campuses. Clinical implementation of the electronic health record (EHR) will be via the Office of the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO), and the Physician Informaticist (PI) will ensure its clinical efficacy. The goal of this position is to ensure that the design and build of EHR‑related clinical systems and technologies are effective for clinical practitioners, patients, and researchers. The Physician Informaticist will play a pivotal role in our EHR Programme team, focusing on maximizing the clinical effectiveness and operational efficiency of our Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
