Introduction

The Pharmacist is responsible planning, organizing and successfully implementing activities regarding pharmacy retail operations, generating pharmacy reports, provide patient counselling and institute and implement enhancement of services quality

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, organizing and successfully implementing all activities in relation to pharmacy retail operations
• Supervision of pharmacy reports and liaison with Head office
• Maintenance of legal procedure & narcotic registers
• Maintain discipline and implementation of policies and procedures
• Impart knowledge of new products and necessary staff training
• Prepare monthly performance evaluation on all employees in a comprehensive manner
• Institute & implement enhancement of services quality
• Assist in selection of staff, as well as removal when necessary
• Provide guidance on medications & prescription & over the counter drugs
• Keep up to date with current pharmacy practices new drugs & their uses
• Provide patient counselling if required
• Any other duties directed by SM pharmacies
