Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse with critical care experience to join our perianesthesia team at the Overland Park facility in Kansas. The day shift provides patients across the perioperative continuum and requires precise monitoring and compassionate care.

Candidates must hold an RN license, have ACLS and BLS certifications, and be prepared for high‑stress environments with strong teamwork. CPAN is preferred, as is post‑anesthesia or critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's of Nursing required.
• 1+ years critical care nursing experience required.
• 2+ years post-anesthesia or equivalent critical care experience preferred.
• RN license with ACLS and BLS required; CPAN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interprets information from monitors and describes the pathophysiology of disease processes and the physiology of anesthesia techniques.
• Develops and implements individualized perianesthesia plans of care, including recovery management.
• Protects patients from injury and communicates status throughout the peri-anesthesia continuum of care.
• Administers medications safely by following the 7 rights and maintains wound/tissue perfusion status.
