Job summary

People (Professional Employers Pvt Ltd) seeks a detail-oriented Financial Accountant in Islamabad to manage day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance for our client. Partially qualified CA/ACCA with 2–3 years of relevant experience is required, with preference for candidates from power generation, renewable energy, engineering, infrastructure, or O&M sectors.

Qualifications

• Partially qualified CA/ACCA with 2–3 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
• Experience in power generation, renewable energy, engineering, infrastructure, or O&M sectors is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and Pakistani tax regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
• High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including bookkeeping, journal entries, and GL maintenance.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and financial summaries.
• Assist in budgeting, cost control, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Support tax filings, payroll-related taxation, and compliance with Pakistani tax regulations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with monthly financial closing and timely reporting to management.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, tax authorities, and government departments.
• Assist in payroll processing and employee-related financial documentation.
• Prepare financial documents for head office and related import/export documentation.
