Qualifications

• Must hold an IELTS certificate with an overall band score of 6.

We are currently recruiting for Pakistan Sign Language interpreters and Translators based in Rawalpindi/Islamabad to work within various settings such as the healthcare, legal, educational, immigration & refugee services etc.

• Telephone Interpreters
• Video Interpreters

The Job:

Interpreting involves listening to, understanding and memorizing content in the original ‘source’ language, then reproducing the speech into the ‘target’ language with 100% accuracy.

You will:

• Interpret for people using legal, health and local government services
• Check the non‑English speakers' understanding after each sentence
• Conference, consecutive and public service interpreting
• Dealing with highly confidential information
• Liaise between the service user and service provider

Requirements:

• Fluent in English or another language
• BS/MS Degree in English Language, Literature, English Language Teaching (ELT) or TESOL
• Any other interpreting related qualification
• Must hold an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) certificate with an overall band score of 6, and a minimum of 6 in each individual subtest (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking)
• You will be required to sign and agree to a surety bond
• You will be required to sign and agree to a Non‑Disclosure Agreement
