Job summary

Wateen Telecom in Multan is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager - Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) to lead field operations and drive network reliability for optical fiber networks. You will oversee deployments, fault resolution, site surveys, and SoW/BoQ preparation, ensuring SLA compliance and safe, timely execution.

The role requires 5+ years in telecom with 2+ years in a supervisory capacity, plus strong leadership and cross-functional coordination abilities, based in Multan, Pakistan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecom Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant telecommunications experience in optical fiber cable networks.
• At least 2+ years of specialized experience in a supervisory/Assistant Manager role.
• Strong practical expertise in OFC deployment, splicing, testing, and fault troubleshooting.
• Proven background in network reliability management, infrastructure protection, and SLA/TAT compliance.
• Deep proficiency in preparing SoW and BoQ following site surveys.
• Strong team leadership, vendor coordination, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Professional availability for full-time deployment in Multan, Pakistan.

Responsibilities

• Oversee OFC deployment, expansion, and network rehabilitation activities.
• Perform advanced OFC fault troubleshooting, splice verification, OTDR testing, and emergency restoration.
• Ensure network reliability, fault prevention, and infrastructure protection.
• Monitor and enforce SLAs and TAT for field incidents.
• Lead project management, execution, and milestone tracking for optical rollouts.
• Provide effective team leadership and stakeholder coordination.
• Conduct site surveys, root-cause analyses, and route feasibility studies.
• Prepare SoW, BoQ, and technical progress reports.
• Ensure safety standards and deployment timelines.
