Job summary

Accelerec Ltd. in Lahore, Pakistan, is seeking an Assistant Mold Designer to join our design team on a permanent, onsite basis. You will support senior mold designers in creating and refining 2D and 3D mold designs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

You will develop detailed drafting packages, assess manufacturability for injection molding and die casting, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to ensure design integrity and tooling effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a related design/engineering role.
• Proficiency in CAD software with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Experience with 3D modeling and 2D drafting techniques.
• Mold design principles for injection molding and/or die casting.
• Knowledge of tooling concepts and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical specs.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior mold designers in creating and modifying 2D/3D mold designs using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Develop detailed 2D drafting packages from 3D models with accuracy.
• Support manufacturability analysis for injection molding and die casting.
• Contribute to material science understanding as it applies to mold design.
• Review engineering blueprints and drawings for design integrity.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to resolve design challenges.
• Maintain organized project documentation and participate in design reviews.
