Job summary

iPlexSoft is seeking a motivated Junior Odoo Functional Consultant to join our dynamic team in Karachi. You will assist in the implementation, configuration, and support of Odoo ERP solutions under senior guidance, gaining hands-on experience with Sales, Inventory, Accounting, and more.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration with developers, and delivering quality configurations that meet client needs. Prior internship or coursework in ERP is welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business/finance or related field.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Odoo preferred but internship/academic projects acceptable.
• Familiarity with core business processes (sales, inventory, accounting, procurement).

Responsibilities

• Assist in Odoo implementation and configuration based on client requirements.
• Support data migration tasks from legacy systems into Odoo.
• Customize reports and views to align with client needs.
• Translate client business processes into functional requirements for Odoo.
• Provide recommendations to optimize and automate operations.

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Odoo Functional Consultant to join our dynamic team. As a Junior Functional Consultant, you will work under the guidance of senior consultants to assist in the implementation, configuration, and support of Odoo ERP solutions for our clients. You will gain hands‑on experience with Odoo's various modules, including Sales, Inventory, Accounting, and more, while actively contributing to the smooth operation of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Odoo Implementation & Configuration:
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of Odoo modules based on client requirements.
  • Support data migration tasks (e.g., importing data from legacy systems into Odoo).
  • Customize reports and views in Odoo to align with client needs.
• Functional Analysis:
  • Work with clients to understand their business processes and translate those into functional requirements for the Odoo system.
  • Provide recommendations on how Odoo can optimize and automate client business operations.
• User Support & Training:
  • Assist in the creation of user guides and training materials.
  • Provide first-line support for end-users, helping resolve functional issues and answering user queries.
  • Conduct basic training sessions for users on Odoo functionalities.
• Testing & Quality Assurance:
  • Assist in system testing and troubleshooting to ensure that configurations meet client needs.
  • Document and track issues found during the testing phase and work with the team to resolve them.
• Documentation & Reporting:
  • Document system configurations, customizations, and business processes.
  • Assist in preparing status reports and project documentation for clients.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with developers to ensure functional requirements are translated into technical solutions.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming and problem‑solving sessions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Finance & Accountancy, ACCA, Certification in Odoo Functional (Plus) or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience:
  • 1-2 years of experience with Odoo or other ERP systems (internship or academic project experience is acceptable).
  • Familiarity with basic business processes such as sales, inventory, accounting, and procurement.
• Technical Skills:
  • Understanding of ERP systems, specifically Odoo implementation.
  • Familiarity with Excel, and data analysis is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Odoo's modules.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and solutioning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand client needs and communicate functionally information.
  • Detail‑oriented, with a commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the Odoo ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with Odoo Studio or customization of Odoo modules.
  • Experience with business process mapping and requirement gathering.
  • Knowledge of business accounting or supply chain processes.
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, ideally to assist in the implementation and support of the accounting module in Odoo.
