Job summary

Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team in Karachi. The role focuses on pediatric rehabilitation, neurodevelopmental support, and promoting functional independence for children and families.

The incumbent will conduct assessments, design individualized therapy plans, and collaborate with caregivers and educators to deliver evidence-based interventions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant clinical experience in pediatric rehabilitation, neurodevelopmental disabilities, or rehabilitation settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with families and teams.
• Ability to document clearly and maintain accurate treatment notes and progress reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy assessments and identify client needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy to improve fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, and coordination.
• Support ADLs and independence training for clients.
• Deliver sensory integration and evidence-based therapies.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Maintain confidential clinical records and progress reports.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and team members.
• Provide home programs and caregiver guidance.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and ongoing professional development.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM


• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (BS Occupational Therapy) from an HEC-recognized institution.


• Valid registration with the relevant professional council (where applicable).


• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant clinical experience in pediatric rehabilitation, neurodevelopmental disabilities, or a rehabilitation setting will be preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy assessments and identify individual client needs.


• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.


• Provide therapy to improve fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, and functional abilities.


• Support clients in developing activities of daily living (ADLs) and independence skills.


• Deliver sensory integration and other evidence-based therapeutic interventions.


• Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as required.


• Maintain accurate clinical records, treatment notes, and progress reports.


• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and multidisciplinary team members.


• Provide guidance and home programs to parents/caregivers.


• Participate in case discussions, multidisciplinary team meetings, and continuous professional development activities.


• Maintain professional ethics, patient confidentiality, and safeguarding standards.
