Job summary

EY, a leading professional services firm, is seeking a Tax Accountant to support the MENA region from Pakistan. You will manage VAT, CIT, WHT filings across multiple jurisdictions, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure timely, compliant tax reporting in a complex multi-country environment.

You will monitor regulatory developments, prepare supporting schedules, and contribute to robust tax processes, leveraging SAP and tax portals to deliver accurate filings and insights across GCC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Three to five years of experience in tax compliance.
• Experience with GCC VAT, ZATCA, UAE Corporate Tax.
• Experience using SAP and tax portals.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-country VAT and indirect tax compliance.
• Prepare VAT and Sales Tax returns for GCC countries.
• Maintain VAT reconciliations and review tax codes in SAP.
• Support Corporate Income Tax filings across Oman, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and UAE.
• Handle Withholding Tax filings and cross-border payments.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Accounts Payable to apply WHT rates.
• Maintain tax compliance calendars and prepare reconciliations.
• Assist with audits and regulatory inquiries.
