Job summary

Tahpi Pty Limited in Karachi invites a Mechanical Trainee Engineer to support design of hospital and clinic building systems. Fresh graduates welcome; you will gain hands-on experience across HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection and medical gas systems under senior engineers.

You will assist with drawings, load calculations, equipment sizing, specifications, and compliance documents while learning HTM, ASHRAE, NFPA and local codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an HEC-recognized university.
• Active PEC registration or in the process of obtaining it.
• Fresh graduate with up to one year of experience.
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Revit MEP, Navisworks or HVAC design tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with designing mechanical building systems for hospitals and clinics.
• Create and modify technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and related software.
• Perform load calculations, size ducts and pipes, and estimate equipment requirements under guidance.
• Help prepare specifications, bill of quantities, and compliance documentation for projects.
• Learn and apply international healthcare building standards such as HTM, ASHRAE, NFPA, and local codes.
