Job summary

METRO Pakistan (Pvt) Limited is seeking an experienced Tax Compliance professional in Lahore to manage in-depth sales tax processes. You will file monthly and annual returns, coordinate PRA and SRB obligations, and ensure real-time POS data uploads to the FBR portal.

The role requires a Chartered / MBA Finance professional with at least ten years in sales tax handling, and hands-on SAP experience to reconcile tax data with MMS. A challenging, detail-oriented environment awaits.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACMA/CA Part Qualified or MBA Finance with 10+ years in sales tax handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly/annual Sales Tax Returns.
• Prepare and file monthly Provincial Sales Tax Returns (Punjab PRA & Sindh SRB).
• Real-time integration of Metro POS with FBR to auto-upload invoices.
• Provide daily updates to management on tax changes by FBR, PRA and SRB.
• Resolve cross-functional and customer issues related to tax processes.

• To prepare & file monthly & annual Sales Tax Returns
• To prepare & file monthly Provincial Sales Tax Return (Punjab Revenue Authority & Sindh Revenue Board)
• Real time Integration of POS of Metro tills with FBR that all the invoices automatically uploaded in FBR web portal
• To update senior management on daily basis regarding the Sales tax changes by FBR, PRA and SRB
• To resolve day to day issues of cross functions & customers
• To check the sales tax treatment of articles in MMS.
• To prepare the monthly reports including input sales tax, output, zero rated & exempt purchases as well as sales.
• To prepare the reconciliation of sales, purchases, input tax, output tax of MMS with SAP.
• To prepare the details for FBR in response of notices of sales tax Audits and follow ups.
• To liaison with sales tax consultant for routine matters.
• Preparation of Annex-A with sharing/consultation
• Identification of Non-Active suppliers and send e-mail to relevant buyers.
• Preparation of Annex-C with sharing/consultation
• Preparation of Annex-B.
• PRA / SRB GST withholding on weekly basis
• Invoice wise detail of PRA / SRB GST withholding
• Closing activities
• Customer and supplier Database updating.
• Other miscellaneous assignments
• Any other assignment as and when required by the line management.

Qualification and Experience

ACCA, ACMA, CA (Part Qualified) MBA Finance with minimum ten years experience in Sales Tax handling
