Job description
Job Summary

To own client relationships end-to-end, coordinate the internal team of bookkeepers and analysts, and ensure financial deliverables are accurate, timely, and client-ready. This is a leadership role at the intersection of client success, financial management, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary client liaison, managing expectations, relationship health, and proactive risk escalation.
  • Represent the company professionally in all client and external forums.
  • Oversee monthly/quarterly financial close and the production of accurate, audit‑ready financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Perform Quality Control (QC) on all bookkeeping outputs and ensure the on‑time delivery of polished, executive‑level management reports.
  • Lead and coordinate the internal bookkeeping and analyst teams, running standups and balancing workloads.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain project plans, tasks, and SLA trackers to ensure accountability and deadline adherence.
  • Drive operational excellence by mapping and refining core processes (intake to reporting).
  • Identify, document (SOPs), and implement automation and technology solutions to enhance efficiency and minimize errors.
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping, finance, or operations, including team management.
  • Demonstrated success managing client relationships and delivering financial services.
  • Extremely proficient with technology and digital tools – must be able to learn, adopt, and optimize software platforms quickly.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required; experience with Float, Payworks, G‑Suite/Google Workspace, and project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, ClickUp, Monday.com) is a strong asset.
  • Exceptional communication and client‑facing skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Highly organized with proven project management experience.
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem‑solving skills.
Education

MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
