Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and experienced Manager Finance to lead and optimise the finance function for a leading financial services firm. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth expertise in financial services operations, along with a proven ability to streamline financial processes, ensure compliance, and strengthen organisational performance.

This role, based in Pakistan, will provide remote support to a foreign financial services company, playing a strategic role in financial planning, reporting, governance, and operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership

Provide financial strategy and leadership to align with the company’s long-term business goals. Oversee preparation and presentation of timely, accurate financial and management reports in compliance with IFRS, company policy, and statutory requirements.

Operational Efficiency

Develop and implement accounting systems, policies, and procedures to drive efficiency and standardisation. Design and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.

Compliance & Risk Management

Manage overall risk assessment and mitigation frameworks across financial and operational functions. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and both local and international financial requirements.

Financial Planning & Analysis

Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes. Analyse financial performance against KPIs and initiate corrective actions to support profitability and sustainability.

Audit & Reporting

Coordinate annual audits, liaising with external auditors and addressing audit observations. Oversee cash flow management, forecasting, and financial planning to meet operational funding requirements.

Team Leadership

Supervise and mentor the finance team to ensure high performance, accuracy, and professional growth. Establish clear performance standards and continuous improvement mechanisms across the department.

Strategic & Financial Decision-Making

Participate in strategic business discussions, resource allocation, and insurance product financial analysis. Support M&A and investment initiatives, including due diligence and financial integration activities.

IT & Systems Management

Identify system automation and technology needs to enhance financial operations. Ensure the effective implementation of accounting and reporting software solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement

Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies. Stay informed of legislative updates on data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, and employment regulations to ensure full compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Qualified CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification.

Experience: Minimum 3–4 years in a senior finance leadership role within the financial services sector.

Leadership: Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing finance teams.

Technical Skills: Strong command over financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and risk management.

Strategic Insight: Excellent analytical and decision-making capabilities with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills, capable of engaging across all levels of the organisation.
