Job summary

JobLeader is seeking a skilled Locksmith Technician in Karachi to install, repair and maintain diverse locks and security systems. You will cut keys, rekey locks, and open locked safes or doors with specialized tools, while ensuring security integrity and precise documentation.

The role requires reading technical drawings, using locksmith equipment, and programming electronic access controls, including biometric data where applicable. Accommodation may be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified locksmith training or relevant experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Proficient in using specialized locksmith tools.
• Good physical fitness as the job may involve standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain various types of locks and security systems.
• Cut new or duplicate keys using key-cutting machines.
• Rekey existing locks by changing the tumblers or pins inside the lock mechanism.
• Open locked doors or safes using specialized tools such as pick guns or drills.
• Replace damaged or malfunctioning locks with new ones.
• Install electronic access control systems including programming codes, cards, or biometric data.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed on clients properties.
• Provide recommendations on security measures to improve clients safety.

Job description

As a Locksmith Technician you will be responsible for installing repairing and maintaining various types of locks and security systems You will use specialized tools and techniques to open safes vehicles and buildings when necessary Your main duties will include cutting new or duplicate keys rekeying locks and replacing damaged or malfunctioning locks Additionally you may be required to install and program electronic access control systems

To excel in this role you should have excellent knowledge of different types of locks and security systems You must be able to quickly analyze lock problems and provide effective solutions Attention to detail is crucial in this job as even the slightest mistake can compromise the security of our clients A Biometric passport is preferred for this position as it involves handling sensitive information
