Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.

• Strong communication with faculty, staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive collection of resources for users.
• Monitor and evaluate usage to inform purchasing decisions.
• Collaborate with faculty to understand resource needs and recommend acquisitions.
• Manage budget for resource acquisition and negotiate pricing with vendors.
• Catalog and classify new resources per standards.
• Train staff on cataloging procedures; ensure accuracy in records.
• Develop circulation policies including loans, fines, renewals.
• Maintain organized shelving and retrieval system for resources.
• Stay up-to-date on library trends and improve services.
