Job summary

BlueHorizon in Gujrat is seeking a dedicated Library Assistant to maintain the library’s collection and assist patrons in locating resources. This entry-level role offers an immediate start and a starting salary of 1700 USD.

You will help with cataloging, operations, and basic tech support for patrons, with opportunities to lead displays and events. Visa is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred.
• Experience in a library setting is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and procedures.
• Candidates must have their own visa for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons with locating and checking out materials.
• Maintain and organize the library's collection.
• Process new materials and ensure they are properly cataloged.
• Oversee library operations including opening/closing procedures.
• Provide basic computer assistance to patrons.
• Assist in planning and coordinating library events/programs.
• Create displays to promote new materials or special collections.
• Keep accurate records of library transactions and statistics.
