Job summary

Inbox Business Technologies is seeking a motivated Junior Oracle DBA for on-site support in Pakistan. You will assist in daily administration, monitoring, maintenance, and security of Oracle databases, working with senior DBAs and cross-functional teams.

The role requires 1–3 years of Oracle DB experience, SQL/PLSQL skills, and familiarity with RMAN backup strategies. Shift rotation and on-call may be involved, with a full-time on-site work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/SE or related field.
• 1–3 years hands-on experience with Oracle databases.
• Fundamental Oracle architecture (SGA, PGA, tablespaces, redo logs).
• Working knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix shell scripting and Windows environments.
• Basic RMAN backup/recovery concepts.
• Oracle OCA/OCP certification a strong plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day Oracle database administration, monitoring, maintenance, and security.
• Support installation, configuration, upgrades of Oracle software and related products.
• Monitor storage, performance metrics, and resource utilization.
• Assist in backup and recovery strategies using RMAN; support cloning for dev/test.
• Troubleshoot alerts, connectivity issues, and bottlenecks; optimize basic SQL/PLSQL.
• Document recurring issues and update SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with data security and patch updates; participate in on-call if required.
