Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Previous metalworking experience preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of different metals and their properties.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in metalworking.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and processes.

Responsibilities

• Measure and mark dimensions on metal pieces using rulers, calipers and squares.
• Cut metal pieces using saws, shears or plasma cutters.
• Shape metal pieces using hammers, presses or grinders.
• Weld or solder metal pieces to create components.
• Clean and smooth rough edges or surfaces of metal pieces.
• Verify dimensions of finished components using precision measuring tools.
• Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
