Job Overview

The Junior Construction Estimator will assist the estimation team in preparing accurate cost estimates and bids for construction projects. This role involves analyzing project drawings, specifications, and related documents to determine material, labor, and time requirements. The Junior Estimator works closely with senior estimators, project managers, and engineers to ensure that all estimates are complete, competitive, and aligned with company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Assist in quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment based on drawings and BOQs.
  • Support in preparing bid proposals, budgets, and tender documents.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and evaluate quotations.
  • Maintain and update cost databases, pricing lists, and historical cost records.
  • Assist in analyzing completed projects to compare estimated vs. actual costs.
  • Participate in site visits or project meetings as required to understand scope and conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with company estimating standards and procedures.
