Job summary

dotCMS is seeking a Java Support Engineer - Tier 1 for an on-site role in Karachi. You will investigate issues across the dotCMS stack, reproduce problems, and provide solutions to complex customer inquiries. Expect on-call rotations and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve our product and services.

The position is full-time, onsite in Karachi, working 3:00 PM to Midnight (UTC+05:00) with a one-hour break. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 2+ years of Java development experience.
• 2+ years with web technologies (HTML, CSS).
• 2+ years with JavaScript and Apache Velocity.
• Ability to speak and write English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for dotCMS software products and services.
• Interact with clients via the support ticketing system and schedule video meetings.
• Reproduce customer-reported issues and isolate issues in configuration, implementation, or code.
• Respond with technical solutions and build working sample code.
