Overview

Horizon Technologies is seeking a skilled and experienced IT Service Desk Executive to join our team. The IT Support Executive will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organisation's end-user devices, servers, network, and other IT infrastructure. This includes providing technical support to users, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, managing and maintaining the office network, staying up-to-date with the latest IT infrastructure and security developments, and recommending upgrades and improvements as necessary.

Must Haves
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in IT Support, with a focus on managing complex IT environments.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and systems, including network protocols, hardware, and storage.
  • Knowledge of network security concepts such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection and prevention.
  • Experience with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Knowledge of administering Linux operating systems will be a plus.
  • Must be flexible to work in rotation shifts and a 24/7 operation
Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the organisation's end-user devices, servers, network, and other IT infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support to users, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Manage and maintain the office network and communicate with internet providers when needed to ensure stable and robust internet connections.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest IT infrastructure and security developments, and recommend upgrades and improvements as necessary.
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory Users and Group Policy Objects.
  • Create and maintain documentation and asset databases.
  • Log all support and service requests and update tickets as needed.
  • Perform disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Asterisk and IP Telephony systems.
  • Create and manage file and folder sharing and permissions.

Work Timings: 3 Months Rotational
Work Days: 5 Days a week
Location: Shaheed-e-Millat, Karachi
