Job summary

Translation Empire in Pakistan is seeking a junior .NET developer to assist in upgrading and maintaining existing .NET websites and applications, and to support the development of scalable software using MVC, .NET Core, and microservices. You will collaborate with teammates to analyze requirements, draft operating procedures, and deliver tasks on time.

The role requires basic front-end skills (HTML/CSS/JS), REST API work with ADO.NET/EF, and familiarity with Postman and Git.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed CS/SE degree.
• Familiar with at least one .NET language (C#, VB.NET).
• Understanding of OOP and design patterns.
• Experience with MVC, .NET Core, and Entity Framework.
• Frontend basics: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap.
• Familiar with at least one modern JS framework (Vue/React/Angular).
• REST API development and database interaction using ADO.NET/EF.
• Familiar with SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Experience with Postman and Git; JIRA awareness is a plus.
• ASP.NET Web Forms knowledge is a plus.
• Twilio APIs knowledge is a plus.

Requirements

Qualification and Experience:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with at least one .NET language (e.g., C#, Visual Basic .NET).
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and basic design patterns.
• Exposure to .NET development frameworks like MVC, .NET Core, and Entity Framework.
• Basic knowledge of front-end development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, and Bootstrap.
• Familiarity with at least one modern JavaScript framework (e.g., Vue.js, React, or Angular).
• Knowledge of REST API development and database interaction using ADO.NET or Entity Framework.
• Basic experience or understanding of T-SQL and MS SQL Server.
• Exposure to tools like Postman for API testing and Git-based version control systems.
• Awareness of issue-tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Understanding of ASP.NET Web Forms is a plus.
• Familiarity with Twilio programmable communication APIs is an added advantage.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT Authentication, Onion Architecture, Hangfire, or CQRS Pattern is a plus.
