Job summary

EventMakers Entertainment in Karachi seeks an experienced Instrument Technician for a chemical plant. You will install, maintain, calibrate and repair instrumentation and control systems including DCS, PLCs and SCADA to ensure safe, reliable production.

Work with process engineers, keep precise maintenance logs, diagnose issues and apply safety standards. Requires a Diploma/degree in Instrumentation Technology and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Instrumentation Technology or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in a chemical plant or similar environment
• Knowledge of instrumentation equipment and their functions
• Familiarity with DCS, PLCs, SCADA, etc.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair instruments including temperature sensors, pressure transmitters, flow meters, level detectors, and control valves
• Perform routine maintenance on all instrumentation equipment to ensure accurate readings and proper functioning
• Calibrate instruments according to manufacturer's specifications
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with control systems and make necessary repairs
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
• Collaborate with process engineers to optimize control system settings for maximum efficiency
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and order replacements as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times
