Job description

As an Instrument Technician you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing various types of instruments and equipment used in industrial settings. You will primarily work with electronic pneumatic and hydraulic instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate and repair various types of instruments including pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature controllers and level sensors.
• Troubleshoot issues with instruments and equipment using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Identify and replace faulty components or wiring in instrument systems.
• Read technical diagrams and manuals to understand the operation of instruments.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on instrumentation systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues or concerns to supervisors.
• Adhere to safety protocols while working with high‑voltage equipment and hazardous materials.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex issues or improve equipment performance.
• Stay updated on new technologies and industry developments related to instrumentation systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• Trade school certification in instrumentation preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, control loops, sensors, transducers and PLCs.
• Experience with troubleshooting techniques for pneumatic and hydraulic systems preferred.
• Familiarity with industry regulations such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards for electrical safety is a plus.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physically fit to perform job duties which may involve standing for long periods or working in confined spaces.

Location: Karachi. Preference for Pakistani nationals.

Salary: $1100 per month. Visa sponsorship available. Travel requirements: None.
