Job summary

NextWave Publications is seeking an Information Security Analyst for its Khanpur, Pakistan team. The role focuses on protecting the organization’s data and information systems, requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years in information security, a background in network protocols and operating systems, and hands-on experience with IDS/IPS, firewalls, and encryption techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in information security or related role.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
• Experience with intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, antivirus software, encryption techniques, etc.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001/27002 or NIST CSF.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security threats.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard our organization's data.
• Perform regular audits of information systems to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and investigate potential security breaches.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
• Conduct training sessions for employees on best practices for information security.
