Job description

Job Overview

As a heavy equipment operator you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, and cranes to assist in construction projects. Your duties will include performing routine maintenance, operating it safely and efficiently, and following project plans and specifications.

This is a contract position in Gujrat with a salary of $1,200. We welcome students who are looking to gain experience in the field of heavy equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance checks before each use.
• Grease moving parts, change fluids, and conduct minor repairs when necessary.
• Read project plans and specifications and complete tasks accordingly.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, steel-toed boots, and high-visibility vests.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions and execute early morning or evening shifts as required by project needs.
• Maintain equipment in good operating condition.

Qualifications

• Valid heavy equipment operator license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy machinery.
• Excellent knowledge of safety procedures.
• Ability to read project plans and specifications.
• Physical fitness to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Good hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and attention to detail.
