Job summary

Aga Khan University’s Department of Community Health Sciences seeks an experienced health information systems expert to lead analytics and reporting for a 12-month health security and immunisation project in Sindh, Pakistan.

The role focuses on strengthening DHIS-2, EMR and related health data systems, guiding multi-disciplinary teams, and delivering timely, evidence-based insights for government and donors.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Public Health Informatics, Data Systems, or related field from an recognized university
• Minimum seven years' experience in health information systems, data analytics or related areas
• Experience with government health departments or public health stakeholders is advantageous
• Strong leadership and coordination skills with excellent communication and presentation abilities

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and managerial oversight of health information systems and analytics activities across assigned project components
• Coordinate with government MIS teams and district health structures to strengthen reporting quality and timeliness
• Review, analyze and interpret programme data from EPI/SEIR, DHIS, and EMR platforms
• Support planning, coordination, monitoring, data reviews, and progress reporting
• Consolidate data and support quarterly and milestone-related reporting
• Explore interoperability between health information systems (EMR, DHIS-2) where applicable
• Mentor data teams to ensure timely, quality outputs and manage risks
• Ensure alignment with workplans, donor requirements and AKU policies
